Jackson County United Way is proud to lead a partnership of educational and industrial leaders, civic organizations and places of worship, as well as community volunteers focused on creating opportunities for all children to succeed in school.
The agency’s work has always been focused on building a stronger community, and newer programs like Rock’n Ready and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance continue this work.
Think back to your first day of school … did you wear a new outfit and carry a brand new backpack filled with designer folders, newly sharpened No. 2 pencils, crisp blank notebooks and brightly colored markers to begin your day? This annual milestone isn’t the experience for many children whose families are struggling financially.
