Column: When feeling wronged, allowing God to do avenging is liberating

We’ve been learning about the importance of applying what we know from the Word of God.

Last week we were in Romans 12. Paul goes on to say, “Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.” (verses 17-18)

That is not to say that God expects us to become someone’s doormat. It doesn’t mean that I will give in to being used, misused and abused. That does not mean that I will keep coming back for more when I have been mistreated or abused.
