They faced each other in 2008 and again stand opposed in the Nov. 6 general election.
Republican Thomas Joray, 52, is challenging the re-election bid of Democrat John Schafstall, 65, in the County Commissioners District 2 race.
Schafstall defeated Joray four years ago by 539 votes, 8,755 to 8,216.
Both point to their backgrounds and experience as reasons that voters should back their candidacies.
