Commissioners correct issue blocking wheelchair users from visiting

Jackson County commissioners have corrected an issue that had kept the wheelchair users from visiting a memorial to the county’s war dead at the county courthouse.

That move came after Terry Fish of Brownstown raised the issue on behalf of her husband, who has been using a wheelchair for about 20 years because of a stroke.

“He wants to be able to get close enough to be able to read the names,” Terry Fish told commissioners during a recent meeting.
