Commissioners to weigh animal feeding operation

Jackson County commissioners plan to discuss an ordinance governing confined animal feeding operations during a meeting at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the courthouse annex, 220 E. Walnut St., Brownstown.

If passed on first reading, that ordinance will be sent to the county plan commission for its review and a public hearing. The ordinance would then be returned to commissioners for review and possible passage.

Commissioner meetings are open to the public and press.
