The Jackson County Community Theatre will present the first show of its 2013-14 season, “The Curious Savage” by John Patrick, Sept. 13, 14, 20 and 21.

The classic comedy presents conflict in the family of widow Ethel Savage.

When Ethel liquidates her late husband’s estate and begins spending it on kindly deeds such as a tombstone for a flower peddler’s horse, shipping a box of soil from a farmer’s homeland of Italy and a trip around the world for schoolchildren, her stepchildren try to get control of the assets.
