Computer classes set at Brownstown library

Four computer classes are scheduled in this month at the Brownstown Public Library.

These classes are free and open to the public. Registration is requested and can be done at the circulation desk or by calling the library at 358-2853.

The classes scheduled are:

  • 11 a.m. to noon March 23: Microsoft Office. This class will cover all topics concerning Microsoft Office 2007. Primary consideration will be given to Excel 2007. Work, PowerPoint, Publisher and Access 2007 will be covered depending upon interest.
  • 1 to 2 p.m. March 23: Internet and Email Basics. Learn how to use a browser, find what you want by using a search engine and how to set up and use an email account.
  • 11 a.m. to noon March 30: Computer Basics. Learn the proper startup and shutdown procedures, how to operate a mouse and navigate through the Windows operating system.
  • 1 to 2 p.m. March 30: eIndiana Digital Consortium — Overdrive. Learn how to download e-books and e-audios to your Kindle, Nook, Phones or MP3 players using eIndiana Digital Consortium’s Overdrive.
