Concert series to rock downtown

Staff Reports

Local residents will have the chance Thursday to support the arts and take in a free concert by visiting downtown Seymour.

That’s the site for the first of four Seymour CityJam concerts planned this summer.

Indy soul and blues artist Jennie DeVoe will kick off the series, presented by the Southern Indiana Center for the Arts, at 5:30 p.m. Thursday on East Second Street, between Indianapolis Avenue and Ewing Street.

Katherine Smith, assistant vice president of marketing with JCB, said DeVoe has a strong following and she looks forward to seeing her perform.
