Soccer and swimming are two of the most physically demanding high school sports.
Jordan Hartman said he took a lot of pride in getting in top physical shape so he could compete in both sports at Seymour High School.
Each fall, Hartman said, he went straight from soccer to swim practice.
“The first week is always the toughest week,” he said. “Your upper body is always sore from starting to lift weights again. Your legs are in great shape from all the running you do in soccer, but it doesn’t help the upper body at all.”
