Content through Christ's power

The secret to satisfaction in life is found in Philippians 4:19; “And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.”

Notice Paul did not say God will supply some of your needs or most of your needs. He did not say God will supply just your spiritual needs. He said, “God will meet all your needs.” Paul had learned to trust God completely. Instead of depending upon his own strength, he had learned to draw on Christ’s power.

Depending only on yourself is tiresome. You know you’re completely depending on yourself and operating on your own power when you are tired and worn out. Fatigue comes from living life out of my own resources rather than out of the resources of God.
