Cooking ethnic cuisine topic of library programs



Learning to cook a plateful of healthy food is the topic of the Dig into Cooking Healthy Ethnic Foods presented by Georgiann Coons, Purdue Extension family educator, at the Jackson County Public Library in Seymour.

Coons will present the programs from 3 to 4 p.m. Mondays in May.

The May 6 program will focus on whole grains Mediterranean style. The May 13 class takes a look at fruits and vegetables Asian style. And the May 20 program examines proteins Mexican style.

The public is invited to attend any or all of the cooking programs to learn multicultural cooking, receive recipes and try samples.
