Switzerland County scored the first 10 points of the third quarter to wipe away a 24-20 halftime deficit against Trinity Lutheran on Tuesday night and led the rest of the way to post a 59-49 win.

The host Cougars missed their first six shots of the third quarter and had two turnovers, enabling the Pacers to stretch their lead to 30-24 on a dunk by Austin Clark at the 3:03 mark.

Toby VanLiew finally scored for the Cougars at 2:40 to make it a 30-26 score. Trinity’s only other basket in the quarter was a 3-pointer by Craig Stuckwisch with 35 seconds left as Switzerland County led 35-29 entering the fourth quarter.
