Cougar’s vision back after frightening injury

It was as if Matt Fourman was wearing a target when he went up to bat for the Trinity Lutheran High School baseball team this spring.

He said he was hit by a pitch on several occasions, including three times in one game. He also got cleated in the knee and had to get nine stitches.

In last week’s sectional championship game at French Lick, a pitch by Orleans’ Jason Mosson struck Fourman’s left hip. Three innings later, though, Fourman took his hardest hit, as he swung at a pitch and the ball came back and hit him in his right eye.
