Cougars can’t recover from early deficit



After dropping its season-opener Thursday night, the Trinity Lutheran coed soccer team hoped to rebound in Saturday’s home match against Rising Sun.

But going into the match, Cougars coach Brandan Tabeling said he knew it would be physical, and the visiting Shiners wound up scoring three first-half goals in winning 5-2.

“Being physical is something you just have to have,” Tabeling said. “Some people shy away from contact, and some people, like Seth (Patterson), are not afraid of contact and like getting in there and hitting people.
