Trinity Lutheran soccer coach Clifton Hutchinson said one of the Cougars’ strong points this season has been defense, and they dominated in that area in both of their Salem Sectional matches.
After defeating Henryville 8-0 in the opening round, Trinity scored three goals in each half and defeated Salem 6-1 on Saturday afternoon in the Class A Sectional 59 championship.
“All season, I think our defense was really strong,” Hutchinson said. “We made one mistake, but I can’t ask more from my defense. We strive on doing the best, and they did.”
