Trinity Lutheran’s Toby VanLiew admits he has had his struggles shooting this season.

In Friday’s home game against Indianapolis Lutheran, though, the 6-foot-6 junior gained some big headway, finishing with a game-high 21 points along with seven rebounds in helping the Cougars win 74-59 to improve to 4-4.

In the first half, VanLiew had three putbacks and a three-point play among his 15 points, and four of his six rebounds were on the offensive end.
