Trinity Lutheran outscored Shawe Memorial 18-5 in the final seven minutes of Wednesday’s girls basketball game to post a 53-40 victory in the Bollinger Athletic Complex.

After Shawe’s Claire Higgins hit a 3-pointer to tie the score at 35 with 7:10 remaining, seniors Mariah Nolan and Brianna Sons took control for the home team.

Sons made two free throws, and Nolan followed with a 3-pointer at 5:50 to put Trinity on top for good at 40-35.
