For the first three and a half quarters of Friday’s boys basketball game between Trinity Lutheran and Crothersville, the two teams battled it out.
Host Trinity, though, went on a 9-0 run in the fourth quarter to help the Cougars capture an 81-61 victory on Cancer Awareness Night.
“Both teams were pressing, and it got a really up-and-down type of game,” Trinity coach Aaron Rudzinski said of the start. “We were creating some turnovers early on and got a lead, and (the Tigers) would come back. It was just kind of back-and-forth most of the first half.”
