Council considers adding members; public support uncertain

Crothersville Town Council is exploring the possibility of adding two board members to the three-member council.

Council President Ardell Mitchell said he’s not convinced there’s enough support from the public to move forward, however. Democrats and Republicans have struggled to field candidates for the three existing at-large seats, he said.

And no one has stepped up to serve on the Crothersville park board that the council has been trying to put together, Mitchell added.
