Council looks for stray dog answers

Numerous stray dogs have Crothersville Town Council members looking into adopting a dog control ordinance.

The council met last week and discussed finding a better option of transporting dogs to Red Sky Rescue, a nonprofit animal shelter in the Medora area.

Currently, stray dogs from the town are housed at the wastewater treatment plant, where there are kennels and doghouses available for up to five days. If an owner doesn’t claim a dog, it is then taken to Red Sky by town employees.
