Money designated for capital projects, county vehicles


Jackson County Council put more than $3.5 million in funding in place for various purchases and projects during a recent meeting.

One of the largest amounts involves nearly $2 million that the council plans to issue in bonds for capital expenditures.

Indianapolis attorney Jim Gutting, a Jackson County native who is serving as bond counsel, told council members the bond issue is similar to those the county issued in 2007 and 2010.
