For the first time in a couple of years, the rain held off for Trinity Lutheran’s Cougar Invitational at Shadowood Golf Course in Seymour.

On Saturday, Rising Sun claimed the trophy with 343, and Southwestern (Hanover) was second with 368.

Trinity Lutheran was fourth with 394, Crothersville was fifth with 402 and the Seymour B team was seventh with 418.

While the rain stayed away, the windy and cold conditions played havoc on some of the golfers. Bryce Murray of Rising Sun, however, didn’t have many problems as he earned medalist honors with a 5-over 77.
