BROWNSTOWN
Premium costs to cover property and liability insurance for Jackson County government grew 13.3 percent to more than a quarter-million dollars this year.
That insurance plan, offered by One Beacon Insurance Group, was approved by county commissioners during a recent meeting at the courthouse annex.
“Property insurance is going up across the board,” said John Beatty with Beatty Insurance in Seymour.
