County seeing flu case increase

The number of people visiting Schneck Medical Center in Seymour with flu-like symptoms in recent days continues to grow.

“We’ve had 20 people that have flu-like symptoms,” said Lin Montgomery, public health educator with the Jackson County Health Department.

Montgomery said two cases of people with H1N1, a sub-type of influenza A virus, have been confirmed.
