Court rejects plea agreement in reckless homicde

A judge has rejected a Scott County man's guilty plea on a charge of causing the death of a Seymour teen while driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

Instead of hearing a sentence in connection with the death last year of 17-year-old Danika Collins of Seymour, Garan A. Terrell, 19, of Austin, learned he would stand trial in the case March 12 under an order from Senior Judge Bill Vance.

Vance rejected Terrell's guilty plea and an agreement reached with the prosecutor's office during what was expected to be a sentencing hearing.
