Most Jackson County residents heeded warnings and advisories forecasting heavy snow and blizzard-like conditions Wednesday and stayed home, police report.
Rain started falling across the county around 1 a.m. Wednesday followed by a mix of sleet and snow around 4 a.m., Seymour Mayor Craig Luedeman said.
