Crothersville Community Schools will conduct a workshop for all present or potential substitute teachers at 10 a.m. July 13.

Anyone wishing to be a substitute teacher at Crothersville Elementary School or Crothersville Junior-Senior High School during the 2012-13 school year is required to attend.

Applicants must have a high school diploma from an accredited high school and certifiable experience with children.

Also effective July 1, state now requires all new potential substitute teachers or those renewing their license to have valid certification in the following three areas: CPR, AED and Heimlich.

The workshop program will last about one hour and will be staged in the junior-senior high school library.
