Crothersville player ties scoring mark: Hodge scores 43 points in victory

The final buzzer had just ended Crothersville’s 91-76 victory against host Columbus Christian on Friday night, and Tigers coach Greg Kilgore already was thinking about the future.

“When the tape of this game comes out, we will have to come up with a little something else,” Kilgore said with a smile.

Crothersville guard Gene Hodge tied the school single-game scoring record with 43 points in the Tigers’ opener, and Hodge knows that opponents are going to be paying a lot of attention to him in the future.
