Crothersville’s boys basketball team led Borden 7-5 in the first quarter of Saturday’s Southern Athletic Conference game, forcing Borden head coach Doc Nash to call a timeout.

Nash’s team responded by closing out the quarter on a 26-3 run and went on to outscore Crothersville in two of the final three quarters for an 81-49 win.

Grayson Barnes led Crothersville

(0-4, 0-1 SAC) with 12 points and 10 rebounds, and Gene Hodge had 11 points.

Caleb Hart and Josh Vollstedt scored 14 points apiece to lead Borden (4-0, 2-0 SAC).
