Over the years, Seymour High School has had its share of good pitchers.

Many of them not only had good high school careers but also saw success at the college or professional level.

SHS head coach Jeremy Richey thought it would be a good idea to have some of those pitchers come together and serve as instructors to kids in the community. The result was the first Seymour Baseball Club pitching clinic, and it involved 11 current and former SHS pitchers. The 12th instructor was Elvis Hernandez, a native of the Dominican Republic who lives in Seymour and has helped SHS pitchers the past few years.
