DNR planning summer series of state forest open houses



The Indiana Department of Natural Resources plans to conduct nine open houses at state forests this spring and summer for those interested in learning about how state forests operate.

The open house at Jackson-Washington State Forest/Starve Hollow State Recreation Area will be from 3 to 6 p.m. May 15 at the Starve Hollow forest education center, 4355 S. County Road 725W, Vallonia. A guided property tour will begin at 4:30 p.m.
