Day care owner upbeat about opportunities

Terri’s Playhouse at 10818 E. Greendale Drive in Seymour became Jackson County’s first Level 3 provider back in 2009.

Level 3 means a provider is meeting health and safety needs of children, supporting children’s learning and providing planned curriculum and lessons that foster child development and school readiness. Level 4 is the highest indicator of quality and earns the provider national accreditation.

Teresa Anderson, who owns Terri’s Playhouse, hopes the new state-approved pre-K voucher pilot program being offered in Jackson County encourages more local providers to make improvements to become a Paths to Quality provider.
