After serving as an assistant golf professional and head golf professional at courses in Indiana, Tony Day couldn’t get away from the sport.

In 1999, the Jackson County native chose to get into the teaching aspect of golf, and since then, he has been the director of instruction at Golf Club of Indiana in Zionsville.

Day recently was honored for his work by being named the 2013 Indiana PGA Teacher of the Year. He will accept the award Feb. 11 at the Indiana PGA Spring Educational Meetings.
