Seymour junior Paxton DeHaven has been a three-year varsity letter winner for the girls golf team.

On Monday night during the team’s awards program in the pavilion at Shadowood Golf Course, DeHaven three-peated as the most valuable player.

“It was another great season for her (Paxton) even though her dream (of making it to state) was cut short, but she gained a little positive praise for her accomplishments,” Owls coach and DeHaven’s mother, Noelle DeHaven, said.

This season, DeHaven won three tournaments, placed second twice with rounds under par, finished at even par four times in tournaments and set the nine-hole school record with a 31 at St. Anne’s Golf Course at North Vernon.
