When Seymour High School junior Alexis Beed takes the stage, she’ll be greeted with catcalls, whistles and jealous stares.
Beed plays the attractive but shallow Hedy LaRue in the school’s upcoming production of the musical “How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying.”
“It’s fun to be able to act like someone I’m not,” Beed said. “She’s risqué, and I like that I can be overdramatic and over the top.”
LaRue is the mistress to J.B. Biggley, president of World Wide Wicket Co., played by senior Chandler Miller.
