The ninth annual Cars and Guitars Cruz-in on Saturday in downtown Seymour had plenty of cars but no guitars.

The first 2½ hours of the car show stayed dry, and people filled Chestnut and Second streets looking at the 251 vehicles, including cars, motorcycles and trucks.

Then storms moved in, and the concert by Terry Lee and the Rockaboogie Band was a washout.

The upside is that proceeds from the show help equip the city’s parks with playground equipment for physically challenged children.
