Jackson County Public Library is accepting registration for its free Family Tree for Kids classes in the Seymour Library computer classroom during the winter school break.

The event will take place twice on Dec. 28. The session from 9:30 to 11 a.m. is open to kids in grades 3 to 6. The session from 2 to 3:30 p.m. is open to grades 7 to 12.

Led by Janet Hensen, information services assistant and a former school library media specialist, students will learn how to construct their own family trees.
