Seymour Community School Corp. is partnering with a local industry to share the costs of providing health care to employees.
School board members voted 6-1 Tuesday to add Seymour Tubing as a client of the school system’s employee health clinic, which opened in 2012.
Nancy Lumley, business manager for the school district, said it was always the school board’s intention to expand the Activate Healthcare clinic by seeking community partners.
The more members the clinic has, the less the school district must pay. Currently, the school corporation pays $36 per member, or $30,000 per month, to operate the clinic.
