Voters will have the opportunity to learn more about their Indiana House District 69
representative candidates during a forum Tuesday night.
Republican Jim Lucas and Democrat Jim McCormick, both of Seymour, will take part in the meeting, answering 10 pre-
selected questions about education, economic development and jobs, health care, right-to-work laws, tax policies, the state budget and their vision for the future of the state and district.
The forum will take place at 7 p.m. in the Seymour High School auditorium and will be moderated by Jim Plump, executive director of Jackson County Industrial Development Corp.
Those who can not attend may tune into radio station 96.3 WJAA to listen to a live broadcast.
McCormick, who spent 20 years in public education, including as principal of SHS, said although the forum won’t allow either candidate to go into great detail, it should give voters a broad overview and get them thinking about the issues.
