Districts weigh snow-day makeup

Local school districts are looking at unique ways to make up missed snow days and prepare students for next month’s ISTEP+ testing.

The Indiana Department of Education announced Thursday that options could include adding an hour to six consecutive school days to make up one canceled day or having online classes on Saturdays.

The state also is giving schools more time to take the ISTEP by extending the test window from March 3 to 12 to March 3 to 21.
