Doctor joins St. Vincent Medical Group in Seymour

Dr. Steven West, FACC, board-certified cardiologist, recently joined St. Vincent Medical Group in Seymour.

West has special interests in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease, according to a news release from St. Vincent Health.

A graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine, West was specialty-trained in cardiology. As a cardiac fellow, he was on a team of physicians that developed the stress echocardiography procedure now widely used as a method to diagnose coronary artery disease.

West’s office is at 225 S. Pine St., Suite 120, Seymour.

St. Vincent Medical Group is a multi-specialty group of primary care and specialty health providers. The medical group is physician-led and operated and includes an array of integration options for providers, including clinical affiliations, joint ventures and employment.

The group is part of St. Vincent Health, one of the state’s largest health care employers, with 22 health facilities serving 53 counties in central and southern Indiana. St. Vincent Health is a member of Ascension Health, the a national nonprofit and Catholic health care system.
