Don’t let love of God grow cold, hungry

Fellow disciples, let’s use the example provided by King Solomon to illustrate the relative importance of what we should be praying for from God.

After Solomon became king, God visited him in a dream and asked what he (God) could grant to him. Solomon asked for the understanding — or wisdom — necessary to rule over God’s people, the people of Israel.

God was pleased with this answer and granted to Solomon not only wisdom but other blessings such as riches, power and prestige. Thereafter, Solomon and the people of Israel prospered greatly.
