A 27-year-old Kentucky man was arrested after the discovery of about 1 pound of marijuana in his vehicle after a traffic stop near Seymour on Wednesday, state police report.

Benjamin C. Schwartz of Louisville was taken to Jackson County Jail in Brownstown after his arrest on Class D felony charges of dealing in marijuana and possession of marijuana more than 30 grams, police said.

Schwartz posted a $1,005 bond shortly after he was booked into the jail and was released at 3:29 p.m. Wednesday.

According to a report from the Indiana State Police Post at Versailles, Schwartz’s arrest occurred after Trooper Randel Miller stopped a 1995 Chevrolet Impala for a traffic violation.
