Duke Energy is reporting that a power outage — first reported at 9:24 a.m. Saturday — is affecting 727 of its customers in the Brownstown area.
The company estimates power should be restored by 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
The company serves 14,762 customers in the county.
Jackson County REMC also is reporting outages Saturday in seven townships in Jackson County affecting 979 customers. That company served 24,351 customers in Jackson County and all or parts of nine other counties in south central and southern Indiana.
The cause of the outages was not immediately available.
