Rebounding on both ends of the court and defense in the second quarter got Seymour back into Monday night’s girls basketball game against Austin.

Those things, on top of knocking down three 3-pointers and five 2-point baskets, allowed the Owls to outscore the visiting Eagles 19-12 in the second quarter to pull even at 29 at halftime.

But in the second half, Seymour couldn’t get enough shots to fall, and Austin scored in transition to pull away and win 55-46.
