Eagles shut out Cougars at home



NASHVILLE

Brown County scored in five different innings in defeating visiting Trinity Lutheran 8-0 in Wednesday's softball game.

The Eagles scored twice in the first inning, three times in the third and once in three other innings.

Brown County outhit Trinity (11-7) 10-4 and played error-free ball. Brianna Sons had a double for the Cougars' only extra-base hit. Kaitlyn Wright had a hit but lost in the circle, striking out three and walking six.
