Eastside Swifty station acquired

Only one of three Swifty Oil Co. stations in Seymour remains open.

That’s following the recent purchase of part of the Swifty gas station property at 2615 E. Tipton St. on the city’s east side by Mac’s Convenience Stores LLC of Columbus.

On June 24, Mac’s bought 6.26 acres and personal property belonging to Swifty Oil Co. for $555,000.

According to a property tax card filed with the county, an adjacent .805-acre property that once was part of the Swifty Oil property was split off June 31, 2011. It was sold to Larrico Inc., a Columbus-based company that owns the Waffle House restaurant next to the former Swifty station.
