Editorial: Challenging courses help prepare kids

Seymour Community Schools Board of Trustees acted wisely with its recent decision to approve new, more challenging courses in mathematics and science at Seymour High School.

Trustees approved a proposal from Principal Greg Prange that allows the school to change its course sequencing in math and science and offer new classes next year.

The new classes could include trigonometry, advanced modeling and analysis, finite math, integrated math, chemistry and physics.
