Editorial: Donating cellphone could save a life

Local officials want the community’s help in fighting domestic violence and helping speed protection to victims of abuse.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department and Turning Point Domestic Violence Services are teaming to help protect domestic violence victims by collecting old cellphones.

The agencies will collect unused cellphones and phone accessories, such as phone chargers and cases, at this year’s Jackson County Fair, which is set for July 21 to 27 at Brownstown.
