Editorial: Donation invests in health of residents

Schneck Medical Center and the Schneck Foundation recently invested in the healthy futures of Jackson County residents.

Their $50,000 donation to Indiana University-

Purdue University Columbus that will be used to support Division of Nursing doctoral faculty who are completing tenure-track research is also an investment in our local economy and our residents who study nursing at the school.

Gary Meyer, chief executive officer of Schneck Medical Center, said developing high-caliber nursing faculty will improve the health, health outcomes and quality of life in Seymour and surrounding communities. He’s right.
